Web based instruction has become very popular and with this popularity has came a number of questions concerning the effectiveness of this teaching method. Does this web based method enhance learning and is it as effective as the traditional class room method of teaching.

Studies to date seem to show that while web based instruction reaches many more students than the traditional class room method learning is not as effective because the interaction between the student and instructor is missing. Also lacking is any interaction between students which is important in the learning process.
